dc.description	This work degree is the result of a space for dialogue with different actors of the Salesian Polytechnic University ( UPS ) and ten teachers who have graduated Career Intercultural Bilingual Education of the same university, where the professionalization of analyzes Intercultural Bilingual teachers and their impact on education. Within this research presented in the first part intercultural bilingual education (EIB ) in Ecuador through history, constitutional foundations that support the EIB in Ecuador and a brief description of EIB experiences in seven countries in Latin America, and the major issues and challenges of it. In the second chapter we have the historical background of the School of Intercultural Bilingual Education UPS , goals, objectives and curriculum of the race, description of the five support centers Ecuador level , especially Otavalo Support Center . The third chapter is the collection of data on different cohorts of students who have graduated Support Center Otavalo, a description of the parishes San Francisco, Sagrario , Imantag and Quiroga of Cotacachi and analysis of interviews and surveys of managers , parents , students and IB teachers, finally we have successes and difficulties of the same in education .	en_US
dc.description.abstract	El presente trabajo de titulación es el resultado de un espacio de dialogo con diferentes actores de la Universidad Politécnica Salesiana (UPS) y con diez docentes que se han graduado de la carrera de Educación Intercultural Bilingüe de esta misma universidad, donde se analiza la profesionalización de docentes Interculturales Bilingües y su incidencia en el ámbito educativo. Dentro de esta investigación presentamos en su primera parte la educación intercultural bilingüe (EIB) en el Ecuador a través de la historia, bases constitucionales que amparan la EIB en el Ecuador y una breve descripción de experiencias de EIB en siete países de América Latina, además los principales retos y desafíos de la misma. En el segundo capítulo tenemos las bases históricas de la Carrera de Educación Intercultural Bilingüe de la UPS, objetivos, fines y malla curricular de la carrera, descripción de los cinco centros de apoyo a nivel del Ecuador, de manera especial el Centro de Apoyo Otavalo. En el tercer capítulo se encuentra la recopilación de datos sobre diferentes promociones de estudiantes que se han graduado del Centro de Apoyo Otavalo, una descripción de las parroquias San Francisco, Sagrario, Imantag y Quiroga del cantón Cotacachi y análisis de entrevistas y encuestas realizadas a los directivos, padres de familia, estudiantes y a los docentes IB, por ultimo tenemos logros y dificultades de los mismo en el ámbito educativo.	en_US
